How Do I Set Up My Email?
You can access your OPQ hosted email via Webmail. To set up your email client (Outlook etc.), laptops, smart phones, tablets etc. you will need the settings below.

See here for an explanation of the differences between IMAP and POP mailboxes. OPQ offer both with SSL encryption for your security.

Emails Settings Information:


Logon Information for both sending and receiving:
username = your full email address e.g. somebody@opq.co.bw
password = your password

Make sure these are entered correctly.

  • Incoming email settings (Receive):
    • Account Type = IMAP* or POP (we recommend IMAP)
    • Incoming mail server: = mail.opqnet.net
  • Incoming server (IMAP/OPQ) requires authentication.
    • Set the connection type to use SSL
    • Change the port number to:
    • for IMAP = 993
    • for POP = 995

  • Outgoing email settings (Send):
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP:) = smtp.opqnet.net
    • Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
    • Set the connection type to use SSL or SSL/TLS
    • Change "Outgoing server (SMTP)" port number to 465
